A Vision for Senior Care
Pioneering Geriatric Support Nationwide
Pilot Program
Our initiative began as a pilot program to establish Geriatric Integrated Centers in key communities, providing comprehensive support to senior citizens.
National Vision
Inspired by NAPC-SCSC Resolution No. 5, series 2024, we aim to create Geriatric Integrated Centers in every city and municipality across the Philippines.
Government Support
The foundation seeks support from His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., advocating for the priority inclusion of senior citizen initiatives in the national legislative agenda.
Official beginnings
Legal Foundation
Lingap-Matua operates under a strong legal framework that ensures our programs and services comply with Philippine law and standards for social welfare:
- 1987 Philippine Constitution
- Republic Act No. 8425 (Social Reform and Poverty Alleviation Act)
- Republic Act No. 7876 (Senior Citizens Act of 1992)
- NAPC-SCSC Resolution No. 05
These regulations guide the establishment and expansion of the Apalit Geriatric Integrated Center, which is designed as an enhanced version of the traditional Senior Citizens Center under RA 7876.
